Two Sundays ago, Tanya and I watched SiCKO, Michael Moore's latest documentary about the state of the American Healthcare system—or lack thereof. Once again, Moore masterfully manipulates with his style of "documentary" film-making, and once again, he hammers his message home.
As we sat there, watching the doc, Owen was sitting on the floor in front of us, playing. I noticed myself glancing down at him every once in awhile, thanking God that we lived in Canada. I noticed Tanya doing the same and a few times we caught each other looking and an unspoken agreement passed between us. We were both happy to be where we were.

This weekend marked the beginning of one of mine and Tanya's favourite seasons. No, I'm not referring to spring, football or baseball season, I'm talking about drive-in season.
After an entire winter of being closed and buried under inches (even feet) of snow, the North York Drive-in has once again opened its gates to the movie-going public. For now, they will only be open on Fridays and weekends. But as soon as school is out for the summer, it will be open every night in all its celluloid glory.
