Gadget Lab is one of my daily blog reads. They're part of the Wired blog network, a group of blogs geared towards everything that has to do with technology.
Today, one of their posts had to do with a new development in Solar Panel technology:
"Researchers at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) have come up with a way to make paint-on solar cells. Instead of using pricey silicon to make panels, the boffins use organic solar cells, made from cheap polymers." -- read the rest of this story here.
This is an exciting development! Imagine the application! You could paint this stuff onto cars, homes, buildings, etc... In essence, every available paintable surface could be generating power!
Now, I wonder how safe this stuff is...
