I hate to say it, but the right team won. As much as I was rooting for the Pens, they were clearly outmatched and not quite ready for primetime. A big congrats to the Red Wings and a BIG sigh of relief. Now we can finally stop with the idiotic and xenophobic comments of how a team captained by a European has never won the Cup.
There is always next year for the Pens and you have to know that as soon as those kids learn what it takes to win it all, there will be no stopping them.
